Yes, there is a wide driveway available for parking during treatments

If this is your first treatment at Koku Therapy please arrive 10 minutes before your appointment time so we can run through your consultation form and massage treatment beforehand to maximise the full treatment time.

We massage for the duration of the booking time, ie. 60 minutes will be a full 60 minutes of massage with dressing time and a water or herbal tea after. It would be ideal if you can allow time for this before and after treatment. 

If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment for any reason we kindly ask that you give us 24hrs notice. This allows us to manage our diaries and offer the appointment time to other clients where possible. 

Whilst we think it would be ideal for you to have some time for yourself, we would love Koku Massages to be accessible to as many people as possible, including parents and care givers. So please let us know upon booking if you would need children to accompany you and we can discuss how this could work based on your individual circumstances. 

We currently have an age restriction of 16 years and over for any massage treatment. 

We ask all new clients to fill out our consultation form at least 48hrs before your appointment. This will advise us of any medical conditions we need to know about before your massage.

For existing clients, we request you keep us informed of any medical changes that would alter your first consultation form.

All personal information will be held in the strictest confidence and remain in a confidentiality agreement with Koku Therapy. 

In some cases a doctors agreement letter may be required before a treatment. This is standard practice for all accredited massage therapists.

We use grapeseed oil in its natural form. It is full of vitamins and minerals, which reduce inflammation and hydrate the skin.

Grapeseed oil is suitable for all skin types and those with nut allergies. However, if you have any concerns at all about skin irritation we can arrange a patch test at least 24hrs before your appointment. 

Please get in touch to let me know as soon as you are aware you might be late. We can then work out the best solution, case by case. 

If you are 15 minutes late to the appointment with no contact I will be unable to proceed with the massage treatment and may ask for part payment for the time.
